Olivia and five year old Flo have been together for over two years. Recently, their journey together has been difficult due to uncertain health issues that have surfaced with Flo. When they reached out with hopes of a last minute session, I jumped to photograph their relationship, arriving at the barn super early to avoid the crowds. We focused on the good, laughed at the silly quirks Flo couldn’t contain, and enjoyed a morning full of horse snuggles. My goal was not only to capture their relationship, but to photograph the in between moments that are almost so ordinary, they are forgotten about. They way the Flo matches Olivia’s stride as they walk side by side, the gentle touch of affection, or the way Flo’s tongue curls just a bit when she begs for treats. All of these moments create the love Olivia has for her horse, and demonstrates the love and trust Flo has for Olivia.

All topics are available for discussion including camera equipment, how to photograph animals, people and weddings, best lighting, poses and secrets behind capturing authentic moments, marketing, editing, and more!
