Equine Portrait Sessions, Classic VS Luxury Sessions

Clients love the Equine Portrait Collections, but sometimes upon booking, they aren’t sure which package to choose, the Classic Equine Portraits or the Luxury Equine Portraits. I’m here to help answer questions, and to show you an example of these packages!

What is the biggest difference between the Classic and Luxury Equine Portrait Sessions?

The Classic Portrait Session is 15 minutes long, and provides you with 7 classic poses of your horse, in one tack option (you can choose either a halter, a bridle, or use my photography halter that is edited out in post production, leaving the horse looking “naked”), against your choice of a black or white background. These 7 poses include various head shots, one detail shot, and one full body shot.

This session is perfect for younger horses who are growing, sale photos, or clients who want a smaller collection of images highlighting their horse’s natural beauty.

The Luxury Portrait Session is 30 minutes long, and provides you with 7 classic poses included in the Classic Portrait Sessions PLUS an additional 8 artistic poses, highlighting your horse’s natural beauty and riding discipline, photographed against your choice of a black or white background. These sessions offer flexibility for multiple tack changers (a halter, a bridle, or use my photography halter that is edited out in post production, leaving the horse looking “naked”), and does include a print credit to kick start your collection of fine art for your home, office, or barn!

While I highly suggest booking a Horse & Rider Session for any photographs of you and your horse together, some clients have their heart set on being photographed with their horse against a black or white background. This is only an option for the Luxury Portrait Session, as we have more time photographing and can substituting 2-3 of their artistic horse poses for horse & rider poses.

The Luxury Portrait Session is perfect for clients who want a much larger collection of images, desire more artistic poses for fine art, or are interested in multiple tack changes.

For clients who have more than one horse, and desire photographs of them together…

Complimentary compositions of your horses together are available for clients who book multiple sessions (either the Classic or the Luxury). All horses (applies to dogs photographed with your horse too!) are photographed individually in their own session. From the individual images captured, I can create compositions of your horses together.

I choose to create these images in post production simply for the safety of all involved in the photoshoots. Some barn aisle ways are too narrow to comfortably fit multiple horses next to each other, and some horses aren’t happy or willing to cooperate with another horse in their personal space. This leads to grumpy expressions, and could also lead to someone getting hurt. And no photo is worth the risk of health or happiness of either horses or humans.

So all horses are captured individually, leaving everyone with a positive experience, and fine art images that look as though your horses posed perfectly together, all lovey-dovey and perfectly behaved!

No minimum sessions required!

If you want me to come photograph your horse(s), please don’t hesitate to reach out to reserve a date that works best for you. If fellow friends at your barn want to book for that same date, we can equally divide the travel fee. For 5 or more photoshoots booked for the same date and location, I do offer a $50 discount on each session.

However, if you are the only one at your barn currently wants to book, I will still come to spend quality time with you and your horse. ♥️
