Over the winter I photographed dogs to raise money and awareness for the Michigan State K-9 program. It was a HUGE success and in the midst of the campaign, the Kenny Country Mounted Unit, located in Rockford, Michigan, reached out. They had never had professional photographs taken, and wanted to schedule a day of photoshoots for their horses and officers.
My goals while photographing for them …
To capture the horses beauty through portraits.
To capture the individual, softer & powerful side of the officers with their horses.
To capture group photos for the units advertising & marketing needs.
To create unique images that will make the viewers stop and take a second look!
It was a fun day of photographing, getting to know the officers and the mounted unit program, and to come up with new and creative ways to get the attention of VERY bomb proof horses. 😆
