This was a whirlwind of a photoshoot! During my travels to Wisconsin, I meet up with Laura and her English Springer Spaniel, Sparx, at the Pamprin Park in Green Bay. The clouds were moving in, which meant losing light sooner than expected, the park we chose to photograph in was rather busy with lots of distractions for the dogs, and the gates to the park locked an hour before I was expecting to end our photoshoot! YIKES!

The pressure was on for me to get through a long list of requested photographs, while still providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience for both Laura, Adam, and the dogs!

Photographs we wanted captured:

Stacked shots of Sparx to represent his conformation titles, and for future ads
Action shots to represent this obedience and agility titles
Retrieving shots of Sparx with a pheasant - in action and posed - to represent his hunting titles
Personality photos of Sparx amongst the gardens
Group photos with Laura, Adam, Sparx, Gibson, and Kodi
Connection shots of each dog with either Laura or Adam
And individual shots of Gibson and Kodi, so as not to leave out their smiling faces

With minutes to spare before the park gait closed, we wrap up the photoshoot, packed up all the pups, and headed home for the night.

I have to admit though… I was disappointed with being on a time crunch. I could have stayed to chat with Laura and Adam all day, and I could easily get lost in time photographing their beautiful dogs and their individual personalities! I have such a vast love for dogs, and admire owners that extend their dog’s education and put time into their connection with each dog through a variety of dog sports. These are the dog enthusiasts I thrive for - in friendship and also as a photographer.

The next time I am in Wisconsin, I will 100% be calling Laura and Adam to photograph their dogs again!
