Kelly reached out to me, asking to book a photoshoot for her 10 year old golden retriever, Captain, in hopes to capture his happy-go-lucky personality, and the love he has for both his life, and for his family members.
On par with majority of my photoshoots, Kelly was surprised at how active he was and how happy he was during the entire session. When I show up to photograph dogs, I like to let them lead the photoshoot. If they want to show me all of their toys, we photograph them playing. If they want to explore their property, we photograph them in their favorite places. If they want to love on their owners or sing about their joy, we photograph them doing just that. And all along, we love on the dog, laughing at their silly antics, and making it the best day ever!
And that’s exactly what we did with Captain. We photographed him throughout his property, incorporating in bandana changes, photos of him playing, solo portraits, his love for his family, and the happiness he brings to Kelly’s world. These were a few of my favorites from his photoshoot.
