Equestrians have fallen in love with the Fine Art Equine Portrait Sessions! Every year I photograph nearly 100 horses against the owners choice of a black or white background, and while this may offer a timeless look to a portrait, some clients prefer their horses’ portraits photographed among natural landscapes.

The Yellow Bird Farm in Wellington, Florida, beautifully landscaped property was the perfect landscape for Charlie’s portraits! Charlie is a German Riding Pony, owned and trained by Katie Foster Snowdin, from Canterworks Dressage, LLC. I have had the honor of photographing him many times over the years for Katie’s business, personal projects, and as a LeMeiux model! He was the perfect gentleman, as we explored the property, finding a variety of lighting, colors and textures to use for his portraits. Throughout the photoshoot, he did remain on a lead rope, with the lead rope, Katie and my assist removed from the image during the editing process. This allowed us to stay safe and to capture the images quickly, with positive body language from Charlie.
