Scotch Ann, a 12 year old Border Collie, jumped out of her owners car and was immediately wiggling with happiness when I greeted her. Freshly groomed and eager to please and play, we headed off to photograph her in my favorite winter location, Pioneer County Park in Muskegon Michigan.

I LOVE when my clients have sports dogs. Not only does it make it easier for me to capture a variety of photographs in different locations, but it provides an opportunity to expand the client’s collection by tying in their passion of that sport.

Scotch Ann loves the frisbee and as a Disc Dog, was more than happy to show off her skills! We balanced her photoshoot between still portraits in the woods and frisbee play in the fields, and than switched out for another toy. She was excited to play with her owl toy on her own, and than - despite it being a bit dirty - posed nicely with the owl toy for a few more portraits.

Scotch Ann was an absolute joy to spend time with and photograph. This session left me dreaming up other locations and photoshoots with her, and I can not wait until our next session!
