If you are an equestrian, graduating high school, make sure you book a photoshoot that captures this fleeting time of your life that INCLUDES your horses! I had the pleasure of flying to Treasure Coast Stables, in Palm City Florida, to photograph Miss. Grayson and her two horses, Fox and Cara, for her senior photos.
We began our session with Equine Portraits against a black background, for both Fox, Cara, and Grayson’s yellow labrador retriever, Ellie. I like to do these portraits first, while the horses are still curious and engaging in the toys we have brought to get their ears up.
After we completed those, Grayson wanted to be photographed with each of her horses individually, in two outfits, and together, throughout the farm property. This was important to her, as both of her horses had very different personalities. Cara had a mind that was more independent, and it was easier to capture the strength they had together as a team. Fox had a softer personality, and was happy to be snuggled and quieter to photograph with the mounted photos while Grayson wore her dress.
Following her session, Grayson AND her mom had a riding lesson, and I stayed to photograph that as well! It was the perfect opportunity to capture their mother/daughter bond, the relationship they had with their trainer, and action photos to accompany the portraits.
There were a LOT of photos from this photoshoot, and of course, I couldn’t narrow them down any further. So enjoy these images from Grayson’s photoshoot!
