I have had the pleasure of photographing Charlotte and her family, several times over the years, and every time I come home super excited to upload, edit and deliver the beautiful moments captured between Charlotte and her horses!

This year, we photographed Charlotte with three of her horses, but we focused majority of our time with her newest Arabian, Hero, boarded and trained at Foxfield Arabians, in Alto, Michigan. Their relationship is still new, but there were hints of their deep bond in the smallest, in between moments. It was fitting that I found this fleeting sliver of light streaming through the trees into the arena. It begged to be used, and when Charlotte and Hero stepped into it, I knew I had minutes to capture their bond, before the light left us and the moment was gone.

It was well worth the patience, flexibility, and team work from Charlotte, Hero, my assistant, and myself to create these images. I know they will be treasured for decades to come. 💕
