This photoshoot with Hank, a fawn colored French Bull dog, was supposed to be a mini session. Buuuttt … sometimes the dog, the owner, and myself are having too much fun, and so the adventure continues and the photographs are taken along the way. 💕
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Sophie and her (leased) Norwegian Fjord Horse serval times over the past few years. It was long overdue that we photographed her beloved Frenchie, named Hank. We met at Pioneer County Park, in Muskegon, Michigan, and when Hank first got out of the car, he had on a grumpy face, seeming to question what the heck was going on.
I knelt down to allow him to come say hello, and it didn’t take him long to decide that I was going to be his new best friend! We photographed in the woodland landscape first, capturing a mixture of portrait and action shots, and as the sun began to set, we hiked through the dunes to the shoreline of Lake Michigan. He had brought along his favorite toy (or remnants of said toy), and I photographed his love and joy he has for his chicken leg. We again focused on photographing both portraits and action shots, capturing his personality perfectly!
If the sun hadn’t set on us, I could have spent the entire day with Sophie and Hank. Hank’s exuberant energy, and love for life was infectious, and I easily fell in love with the little munchkin. These are a handful of my favorite photos from his photoshoot.
