If I’m honest, I can not remember how many years I have known Karen. We met so long ago through an advanced obedience class we both had our dogs in. Since then, she has been supporting my photography dreams and allowed me the honor to photograph her many dogs.
When Karen heard I was making a trip from Michigan to Maine, offering photography for both horses and dogs, she got in touch. She was waiting to hear from a breeder if a breeding had been successful, and if so, she wanted to ensure I had time to photograph her puppy!
She welcomed a chocolate field spaniel, named Ryker, into their family only days before I made the trip to their lake side home in Bowerbank, Maine. He was FULL of energy, running around like a wild man, lead by his natural curiosity. I’m not sure who was more tired by the end of the session, my assistant from playing with Ryker, or Ryker from dragging his heavy ears and wide feet around everywhere and anywhere we went! 😆
