My life has always included horses, so it’s easy for me to recognize and photograph the moments that happen within a family, whose life always revolves around their beloved horses. Hannah and Chase’s lives are full of horses, but Lucky and Calvin are loved like family members, so of course they had to be included in their family photos at Sandy Hill Farm, in West Olive, Michigan.
It was important to Hannah to capture natural background portraits of each horse, her relationship individually and together with the horses, and the endless love she has for her husband that supports her equestrian dreams. Chase was the perfect husband, eager to capture the photos, followed directions easily, handled horses when we weren’t photographing them, and even modeled with the horses by himself for a few photos too! It allowed us to capture the best variety of images, that truly showcased the love Hannah and Chase have for each other, the horses, and the life they have built together.
