While the street of Grand Haven were still quiet in the early mornings of the shutdown, I met Shay and her spunky daughter, Adaline, for their yearly photo shoot. We spent majority of our time in Memorial park, enjoying the Springs new luscious grass, paying tag, enjoying in snuggles, and laughing at Adaline’s hilarious reaction to when she found out she had pockets in her dress! We then ventured down Washington Ave, and Adaline quickly found Krissy’s Kandies store front. She was entranced by the giant M&M’s and like me, got a hankering for chocolate. Thankfully, Shay had a bag of M&M’s and with a few melting away in Adaline’s little hands, she happily danced around the sidewalk, giving her mom the biggest smiles and tightest bear hugs.
