Christie and Brandon reached out to me earlier this summer in hopes to plan a photoshoot at Silver Lake Sand Dunes. I originally was going to take the weekend off to celebrate my husband’s birthday, but an excuse to go to Silver Lake to photograph AND to play in the sandbox with our truck was too tempting!

What started out as a family session with Christie and Brandon, quickly became a surprise proposal celebration! Before we began photographing, Brandon quietly let me in on the secret, asking if it was okay to propose on top of Sunset Hill at the end of the session. I said “OF COURSE!!” And then tried to hide my excitement from Christie so as not to ruin the surprise! I have never had a client propose during a session and was truly honored to be there to capture that intimate moment for them.
