Stonebridge Farms & Retreat in Metamore, MI., was three hours across state and the Mother Nature could not make up her mind about where her rain clouds were going. We took a chance on photographing that afternoon, having to seek shelter under trees or make a dash for the barn when the clouds could no longer contain their rain drops. I was incredibly thankful that Autumn was flexible with dodging the rain, and how quickly she was to relax back into the photoshoot with her handsome dressage horse, Santos.
I was super impressed with Autumn’s outfit and tack choices, and the thoughtfulness she put into every detail, including buying a new Kavalkade bridle with rose gold highlights to match her own dress and jewelry! We explored the farms property for colors that matched her outfits, and architectural details that would create variety in her images and as highlight her relationship with Santos. He was a spicy boy due to the weather, but Autumn’s calm demeanor helped him settle, creating some stellar images of them both!
I can not wait to photograph Autumn and Santos again! I am dying to see them in action under saddle, and for another chance to photograph their relationship throughout the gorgeous properties of Stonebridge Farm.
