In the beginning of 2022, I added a new black/white background package, the Luxury Equine Portraits, which include a much more in depth collection of detail and full body fine art photos of your horse. Clients have been loving it, and filling their homes, offices, and barns with the more artistic poses as fine art!
Every horse is different, some photographing more easily than others, but my goal with Hank’s session was to solidify poses I 100% wanted to include in the Luxury Equine Portrait sessions. I also wanted to capture images that were similar, but conveyed a different story through their differences. For example, same pose but with and without tack, similar pose but one with and without visible movement, or the same pose but taken from a different height or angle. I was also curious to see which photographs you liked the best on social media, as what I am attracted to as an artist may be completely different that what you as a client are enthralled with!
It was a wonderful photoshoot and a great learning experience for me! Big thanks to Kate for allowing me to use Hank as a hunter jumper model, and to White Oak Farm in Lowell, MI., for always welcoming me at their facilities!
