I first saw Katusha when she swung her head out her stall window to watch me photograph another horse. I knew immediately who she was with her confident but calm presence. With horse this striking, it is hard not to get stuck in the moment admiring their beauty. It left me excited for her time in front of my camera!
It didn’t help that my best friend has been raving about Katusha for several years! After meeting her in person and being able to photograph her, I can understand why. Katie Foster, of CanterWorks Dressage in Mason, MI., has done a fantastic job meeting Katusha’s needs physically and mentally, helping her blossom into the best dressage horse. Katusha happily soaked up the entertainment and treats during her Equine Portraits and fluidly floated through the arena, barely seeming to touch the ground in a graceful dance when being photographed under saddle.
It was an absolute pleasure to watch them work together and to capture Katusha’s beauty. I can not wait to turn these images into custom fine art to decorate their homes and barns in celebration of Katie and Katusha’s successful journey over the years. Katie had recently gotten engaged, so in celebration, we absolutely had to include her in a few photos, showing off her new dazzling diamond. Her fiance did a fantastic job on choosing the ring and we wish them a lifetime of happiness in the adventures ahead! 🥂
