Puppies!!

In 2022, I had the pleasure of photographing Luka, West Michigan K9’s Malinois demo dog for protection work. He was so much fun to work with, that when I saw he had sired a litter, I jumped for the opportunity to photograph them!

I arrived at Red Line Working K9 to photograph the puppies at 6 weeks old. I typically wait until 7 weeks, as they are a bit more developed and their breed can be recognized. However, these “Mali-gators” are a very energetic breed, and pushing forward a week allowed me a smidge more time to photograph before the pups decided to bail out of the props!

There were too many photographs to share them all here, but these were my absolute favorites.
