Majority of my clients return for photoshoots year after year, including Miss. Afton and her beloved thoroughbred, Romeo. This time, our photoshoot was in celebration of her upcoming high school graduation!
While senior photos in the yearbook often restrict and only show the graduating senior (no animals included), having this fleeting chapter of their lives photographed, what makes them an individual, their passions and dreams in life, should include more than an individual photograph - in my opinion. Majority of my clients are equestrians, which means senior photo sessions include their horse(s)!
Afton’s session focused all of our attention on her passion for horses, and her bond for her current horse, Romeo. We photographed throughout the landscape, capturing saturated greens to golden yellows, her relationship with Romeo on the ground and bareback, literally until the sun set behind the fields in Zeeland, Michigan.
Most photoshoots I keep to a set time frame, but Afton and Romeo were keen to keep shooting, and I am so thankful we did. My favorite photos from this session were the silhouettes captured in the last rays of light. Scroll down to see them at the end!
