Schipperkes have always been on my list of dog breeds I want to personally meet and photograph, and this Spring, Virginia Larioza, from Raffinee Schipperkes, made that dream come true! Not only did she bring the cutest little puppy, Breezy, but her leading stud dog, and her newest litter of 1 week old puppies!

I was in love the moment Breezy stepped out of Virginia’s RV, and knew we’d be spending most of our time photographing her sassy attitude, animated movement, and zest for life. Breezy quickly became my best friend, and while half the time was spent sparing with my fingers, or smothering me with face kisses, we were able to capturing an incredible variety of photographs throughout the gardens, in Grandville, Michigan. Letting her curiosity lead us, and using my background in dog behavior and training, we were able to photograph both action and portrait images of this untrained 6 week old puppy.
