Visiting Yellow Bird Farm, and Canterworks Dressage, is always something I look forward to when photographing horses and dogs in Florida! The owners of this farm have incredible landscaping, that always leaves me day dreaming about the images I could create using the variety of textures, colors, lines and lighting available. I’m still day dreaming about it as I write this blog!
When Darcey reached out to reserve a photoshoot during my Spring travels, I jumped for the opportunity! I could put the day dreams to use, and create a collection of stunning images for her!
We photographing Darcey on the ground with both of her horses, Allie and Vivi, natural background of each horse individually, and then Darcey in action with Allie, while her trainer, Katie Foster Snowdin, gave her a short dressage lesson. It was the best balance of portraits, action shots, and the unique bonds Darcey had with her horses. It would also capture this chapter of Darcey’s life, being the first of many enjoyable Winters spent with Katie at Yellow Bird Farm.
I will be returning to Florida, November 14-17th, with sunrise and sunset openings for Horse & Rider photoshoots. If these are the types of photographs you dream of having with your own horses, please be in touch ASAP, so we can reserve quality time during my travel schedule.
