This black Labrador Retriever didn’t miss a beat, freely running down the beach, splashing in the water to retrieve his tennis ball, the beach clearly his happy place. We were having so much fun watching Otter play in the water that we scratched our plans to adventure into the dunes and to the pier. We laughed as Otter dunked his ball in the water, his whole head disappearing, only to watch the green tennis ball to float and bob in the ripple of waves coming in from the lake. He begged so politely for the ball to be thrown again and again, and when we didn’t, he laid down in a freshly dug hole and spit the gritty sand from his mouth.
We spent our time giving Otter a fun morning of playing on the beach, focusing on capturing his doggy smile as he had the time of his life.
