I met Curry, a Standard Poodle, for her photoshoot at the North Muskegon State Park, in Muskegon, Michigan. At first, she was very posh, polite, and proper in every way she moved. She looked down her long nose at me, and rolling her eyes back toward her owner, she asked, “Do I have to be friends with this weird peasant lady?” LOL!
But then she relaxed, and with encouragement from her owner, she started to dance. It wasn’t a graceful dance though. It was more of a nerdy, awkward, discombobulated bounce around, which was completely unexpected and made both of us laugh at her goofiness.
We explored the beach and the dunes, finding areas to photograph that complimented her regalness and the color tones in her coat. She happily posed, recalled, gently took snacks, and unleashed more of her dance moves!
By the end of the photoshoot, I was in love with Curry and her characteristic personality. I was thankful and honored that her owner chose to make the 4+ hour road trip with Curry to have her photographed. The travel was well worth it for the splendid photos we were able to create together!
