Morgan, Graduating Senior Photos

As everyone knows, some days are good days while others are bad blah days. I was most definitely having a crummy day when I headed out to photograph Morgan’s graduating senior photos with her two beloved horses in Paris, Michigan.

It took all of three minutes for my entire mood to lift when I met Miss. Morgan, her family, and her horses. I knew instantly that this was going to be an incredibly fun photoshoot with a group of people I wanted to be best friends with!

Morgan was confident and at easy in front of the camera for her solo photos, but when we added in her horses, the kindness in her heart and the love she has for them lit up her inner beauty through every frame I was capturing.

We had so much fun, laughing at the expressions and reactions of the horses to the silly noises we were making to get their ears up, snuggled them for being such good troopers, and reveled in the evening lighting and new friendships. We photographed Morgan solo, with each horse individually, and than collectively as a group, ensuring we fulfilled the school’s requirements as well as her needs and dreams for the session.

I left the photoshoot as the last of the light gave way to the night, feeling recharged and incredibly thankful that this job brings me to like minded equestrians, whose love for their animals and trust in my photography allows us to create art from memories in a way that will be treasured forever.
