A celebration should always take place when you add a new horse to your family!! Photographing this new relationship and love should be your next step! Trust me, when you look back in time to when you first met your heart horse, you will be forever grateful you had a professional photographer capture your bond and memories.

Bob is Addison’s first horse! Addison’s mom reached out months in advance to secure a summer evening photoshoot for the Addison and Bob, at their training barn, Curtis Performance Horses in Jenison, Michigan. This was the first year the grass wasn’t mowed between the two outdoor arenas, and while some may view it as an eye sore, I immediately knew we would be photographing in the tall grass adorned with wild flowers that added to the softness of Addison’s bond with Bob. (I hope they’ll never cut that patch of grass again! Let the wild flowers grow for photoshoots!)

We photographed them together with Bob in his bridle for a dressier look, and than used my “naked halter” to photograph him appearing without any tack on, allowing the images to be look and feel more relaxed. Here are a handful of my favorite photos from their Horse & Rider Session.
